PRIVATE PILOT LICENCE

With your Private Pilot Licence you will be allowed to fly by yourself or with friends and family, for fun or personal business, with the only limitation that you can’t be compensated for your flying.

Your training will be divided between ground school and flight training. You will develop the fundamentals skills of flying, starting from controls familiarization. During the first part of your training you will focus on getting ready to fly for the first time Solo. After experiencing the Solo flight you will consolidate the acquired skills in order to reach the level of proficiency required by FAA check ride. At the end of your training you will be confident in flying long cross country flights, in high density environments and at night.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

FAA requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight time to take a check-ride. FAA minimums might be enough for some students, but because everybody learns at a difference pace the actual time it takes students to meet the FAA
requirements varies. Therefore students take an average between 50 and 60 hours to meet the requirements for a check ride.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR TRAINING

Your training will be divided between ground school and flight training. You will develop the fundamentals skills of flying starting from controls familiarization. During the first part of your training you will focus in getting ready to fly for the first time Solo. After experiencing the Solo flight you will consolidate the acquired skills in order to reach the level of proficiency required by FAA check ride.
We will constantly evaluate your progress with stage checks, so to minimize your time and maximize your results.

COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE

The Commercial Pilot Licence is your first milestone as a Professional Pilot. The Commercial License will allow you to get compensated for doing what you love: fly. During your Commercial training you will improve the skills acquired during your Private Certificate and you will be introduced to more advanced maneuvers. The main purpose of the Commercial Pilot Course will focus on how to fly to higher standards, take you to various flight environments, getting you proficient in flight planning for any job requirement. You will consolidate your safety-first mind set. We will get you ready to be a Professional Pilot.

The Commercial Pilot Course, as our Private Pilot Course, is 100% custom tailored. We will adjust our schedule to your needs, either a full-time commitment or a part-time commitment. We will customize your training schedule in order to meet your future steps (for example for Instrument rating or multi engine).

INSTRUMENT RATING

Instrument Rating is becoming an important requirement for pilots seeking a Professional Career. The Instrument Rating will give you the skills and knowledge you need to be a safer pilot. During the Instrument Rating Training you will learn to fly by sole reference to the instruments to prepare you for flight in reduced visibility or IMC conditions. We suggest to get Instrument Rating Training in-between your private and commercial pilot
training. The time spent for the Instrument Rating will count towards your Commercial Certificate.

AIRPLANE CFI

Most probably the first step in your professional career will be to work as a Flight Instructor. The Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Rating is necessary if you want to teach other pilots. FAA does’t require any minimum flight time in addition to your Commercial License, but you will need to build the necessary skills to be a safe Flight Instructor and to meet FFA check rides requirements.

Blade & Wing Aviation CFI Course will give you all the necessary ground training in Fundamentals of Instruction (FOI’s). You will learn how to teach students, planning and organizing your lesson material for any student and course. You will acquire the necessary confidence in teaching and speaking in front of a class. During the Flying training you will learn how to demonstrate and teach all maneuvers and how to deal with the common errors of students. You will get proficient in breaking down the learning process in order to get your students ready for their check ride.

AIRPLANE CFII

The Certified Flight Instrument Instructor Rating will allow you to instruct instrument flight in aircraft. This rating provides additional employment  opportunities and the chance to build more flight time.
